A pale oak field, cut and inlaid by hand. Checkers land quiet, dice roll true, and it ages with the room.

Crocodile-embossed, hand-finished, saddle-stitched with two needles and one seam. The kind that outlives the person who sewed it.

His initials, pressed into the stitched plate with brass type and gold foil. The way names went onto steamer trunks.

Each playing field borrows a little oak. So for every board that leaves the bench, ten oaks go into the ground with our reforestation partner. The wood we take, we return with interest. Your grandchildren can check our arithmetic.

Before you ask
How does the monogram work?
Choose up to three initials or the family name, then Roman or script lettering. Everything is pressed by hand in gold foil, and it is included in the price. Initials sit in the lower-right corner of the lid; a family name runs across the centre.
How long until it ships?
Each board is made to order and delivered in 2 to 4 weeks. Before pressing, we email a production proof for your approval.
What if he doesn't love it?
If it arrives damaged, flawed, or different from the approved proof, we replace it at our cost.
Is it actually built to be handed down?
